2025 STEAM Summer Camp Counselors
Art Explorers/Terrific Scientific (STEAM4Kidz, LLC) offers an extensive array of 9 weeks of full day STEAM Summer Camps (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) and provides an exciting and safe atmosphere for kids grades K-8th.
Camp Dates: June 16th – August 15th, 2025.
Positions are currently available for STEAM Camp Counselors/Instructors who have experience in ART, SCIENCE, CODING, GAMING, ENGINEERING, ROBOTICS, or RECREATION and love teaching and working with kids. Our full time positions are 8am-5pm. All positions are Monday-Friday and require applicant to work a minimum of 4 weeks, but preferable all weeks. Some part-time positions may be available as well. Pay is $800-$1000 per week full time (depending on experience and education).

Instructor Requirements:
- At least 1 year of college and COVID vaccinated.
- Experience managing/teaching groups of elementary or junior high students (not college students).
- Can follow directions and problem solve. (i.e: submit cover letter as requested).
- Punctual, organized, and HIGH Energy.
- Loves working with kids, enthusiastic, patient and directive with campers, adheres to safety standards.
- Strong communication skills and Team player
- Must have car for reliable transportation.
Applicant MUST LIVE in the Santa Barbara area (Goleta, SB, Montecito, Carpinteria), due to road construction in and out of Santa Barbara. You will NOT be selected for an interview if your resume or cover letter does not indicate you live locally.
Other Desirable Skills or Certification:
- Mechanical skills to assembly projects, kits, etc
- Digital Game and Technology skills
- Ceramics expertise
- Elementary or Jr. High Teaching Certification
STEAM Camp Training and Structure:
We provide paid training in our curriculum, methodology, and classroom management prior to start of camps and train our staff extensively. All curriculum and supplies are provided. Our camp programs are well organized and easy to follow. The day is planned, structured & busy! We have 2 project activity times in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. There is an outdoor lunch play time as well as morning and afternoon recess that counselors supervise. Our instructors are KEY to a fun, successful and enrichment learning opportunity for our campers and require skills in leadership, organization and professionalism.
