Hours of Camp: 9:00am-3:30pm. Before Care 8:00am & After Care 3:30-5:00pm. No aftercare on Fridays. Before care $20p/wk (4 days) and $32 aftercare per week (4 days).
Note: Camps on this page are for teens entering 6th-9th grade. Our TEEN CAMPS allow young people the opportunity to have their own age group community and advanced camp programming.
Please do not enroll your child for a camp that requires a higher grade level than your child is entering. We try very hard to keep our camps and campers matched at the appropriate social maturity level, reading skill ability, and curriculum content. However, if your child is older and wants to take a camp listed in the next younger category, that is fine.

Art & Design
3D Art & Design – Gr. 6-8
Cost: $345 5/day camp
Do you like to think outside the box? This camp is a young designers dream come true! With an emphasis on the creative process and design thinking, campers will learn about form, structure, the elements of design and three-dimensional concepts as they construct their own 3D original products. Stretch your imagination and join us in this creative workshop environment!
- Develop your concept and sketch your design

2D Art & Design – Gr. 6-8

Want something unique? You won’t find this art camp anywhere else! No experience required other than creative energy, love of art, and a willingness to stretch your imagination. Campers will try out abstract figure drawing, water-color layering, plein air and expressionist painting, graffiti street art, printmaking with jelly plates, multi-media collage, and more. Explore your own personal expression through design thinking, learn brush and other tool techniques, and work with different media such as graphite, ink, charcoal, conte’, watercolor, and acrylic paint. Discover the power of color and how color works together, create collage using different materials and form, and experiment by combining different mediums and approaches to create your own unique art.
Sewing & Pattern Making! – Gr. 6-8
Cost: $380 5/day camp ($345+$35)
Campers learn to translate an idea to a design on paper, sew by hand and on a machine. They learn pattern making skills, safety skills and how to create patterns for their designs. Once patterns are made, campers construct their designs using hand-sewing techniques and various sewing machine stitches. At the end of the week they create a custom project from start to finish. Examples of projects throughout the week include: tote bag, beanie, tunic, house shoes, Chef’s Apron, oven mitt, zipper bag, pillowcase with applique and more! Sewing machines, fabric, and all sewing tools are provided. Students will take home their own personal sewing kit. Maximum of 8 students per camp.
EXTREME Art! – Gr. 6-8
Cost: $345 5/day camp
Take art to a new level! Whether you are an accomplished young artist or someone who thinks they can’t do any art, we promise you are in for a hands-on 3D fun experience with wood burning, tie-dyeing, drawing, printmaking, weaving, sewing, and clay sculpting that is truly EXTREME! Use charcoal to draw on aqua-board creating unique mixed media designs. Learn to use a special pyrography (wood burning) tool to “draw” designs, patterns and texture into wood and dried gourds. The ancient Greeks called it “writing with fire”. After the design is burned in, shading and coloring can be added. Discover the art of printmaking, how to carve linoleum blocks into stamps, create a masterpiece using natural items, and a collagraph abstract print. Dye fibers using natural indigo and tie-die your camp t-shirt to the EXTREME! Design and sew your own creature and sculpt 3D projects with clay. Create faux vase using a heat embossing tool and weave your own tapestry with card or hand looms from simple to complex. So much to experience…too little time!
Fantastic Beasts of the Mythical World – Gr. 6-8
Cost: $345 5/day camp
Grab your suitcase, catch the train, and join the hunt to find the fantastic beasts who await your arrival! Explore our guide to Mythical Creatures and learn where to find them. In this special wizard camp away from the muggles of the world, you will design your own suitcase, construct a Bowtruckle, paint an Occamy egg and Merpeople, draw a Phoenix and Doxy, sew a loveable Niffler, make a Deathly Hallows necklace, sculpt the wild Erumpent, and invent your own incredible creature! Throughout the week, take notes, create a map and draw sketches in your special journal. When our travels come to an end, take home your suitcase of beasts and note-worthy journal.
All Things (Harry Potter) Magical & Mystical – Gr. 6-8
Cost: $345 5/day camp
Let your imagination run wild! From hippogriffs, dragons, house elves, basilisk, and owls, to sorting hats, dementors, potions, spells…and all things magical, come join us for the time of your life! Search for Horcruxes throughout the week, team up for our Harry Potter Trivia Game, and design a broom. Paint Hogwarts castle, sculpt Dobby or Kreacher house elf, draw mythical creatures, make a Marauder’s map, brew up Butter Beer, create your own wand and Death Eater’s mask, patronus, chocolate frogs, and lots, lots more! Bring your favorite HP book(s) to camp to freshen up on spells, characters, and discuss analogies to the muggle world today. So much magic to do!
Culinary Arts & Food Science
Teen Chefs Cook! – Gr. 6-9 (1 time only) July 4thweek
Cost: $320 ($275/4 day camp + $45 lab fee)
Put on your Chef’s apron and work collaboratively in small teams to create entrées, soups, vegetable dishes, and low sugar desserts of your choosing from scratch using local organic ingredients. Teams will research recipes, plan what they will cook, prepare a shopping list, determine food costs, cook their recipes, and learn to “plate” food for beautiful effects. Teams learn cooking safety, organization techniques, and clean-up skills. To add to the fun, foods produced from each team will be rated with a check-list for taste, healthy ingredients, cost and presentation. Everyone gets to vote! Take home leftovers to show off your skills and all the recipes to try out more at home. On the last day of camp, parents come to eat goodies prepared just for them!
Foodie Camp – Gr. 4-8
Cost: $390 ($345/5 day camp plus $45 Lab Fee)
Are you a food lover, someone who is interested in food adventures, making dishes from scratch and using organic ingredients from local farms? Then prepare for the unusual, Foodie Camp is the perfect experience for any kid who loves to eat, wants to try different foods, and discover essential cooking techniques! Our “foodie” recipes teach aspiring young chefs to follow a recipe, cook, bake, sauté, stir-fry, make baguettes, soufflés, crepes, and decadent desserts, create a classic French roux for many uses, and discover vegetables they did not know they liked! For extra fun, campers will learn the art of pickling and preserving, what to do with lots of lemons, the intricacies of how “chocolate” is made, and how to “churn” butter. Using local organic ingredients, we will make healthy entrees, vegetable & salad dishes, and lower sugar desserts from scratch. Throughout the week, campers will sip freshly made ginger root tea as they discover the art of cooking, learn kitchen safety and clean-up skills. Campers take home their recipe cards. On the last day of camp, parents come to eat goodies prepared just for them! Older and younger students are placed in respective age groups.
Bakers Delight – Gr. 4-8
Cost: $380/5 day camp ($345/5 day camp plus $35 Lab Fee)
The best smell is bread, the best savor is salt, the best ingredients are fresh! What better way to celebrate summer than to bake wonderful goodies from scratch using fresh ingredients! From traditional dinner rolls to protein packed savory cottage cheese dill bread, whole wheat cinnamon rolls, and sweet potato biscuits, your child will learn the simplicity of making fresh bread. Add to that, savory empanadas and quiche muffins, fruit scones, turnovers, popovers, and cupcakes. Next we discover how to create basic white and yellow cake, make flaky pie crusts, and last but not least decadent fudge brownies! Is there more, you say? Oh yes, we will sip fresh ginger root tea as we finish the week off baking summertime fruit cobbler! Throughout the week, campers discover the art of baking and learn kitchen safety and clean-up skills. Your child will go home with their recipes planning to be the next great baker! On the last day of camp, parents come to eat goodies prepared just for them! Older and younger students are placed in respective age groups.
Engineering, Robotics & Technology
Masters of Engineering & Technology – Gr. 5-8
Cost: $345/5 day camp
Using Lego Mindstorms EV3, design, create, build, tinker, test, and refine a variety of robots, machines and engineering projects. Campers build and program robots designed to perform endless challenges such as a Self-Driving Car, Sound Machine, Spirograph, Catapult, SumoBots, and other challenges. Learn the basics of design and engineering concepts while constructing mazes, egg-drop vehicles, and other fun projects. Throughout the week, campers progress through a set of challenges and projects that fully integrate science, technology, engineering, and programming, while prompting creative problem solving, communication, and teamwork. They learn to program and code sequences, loops, parallelism, events, conditionals, operators, data, all important concepts in computer science.So much creative, analytical, and mind-bending fun!

If you love building and programming with Lego Mindstorms EV3, then join us to discover how robotics and technology can transform cities, factories and industries for the future. We will build and program machines, instruments, vehicles, and power stations. Some of our projects include: solar plant, helicopter, wind turbine, vending machine, scissor lift, flight simulator, anemometer, sorting machine, music box, and much more!While creating these intricately designed robot models, students learn how math, physics and extraordinary machines can bring exciting goals within reach.

Have you ever wondered how robots actually work? In this camp, you will learn the concepts of science and design technology through robot building and assembly, soldering circuits and constructing imaginative projects. The skills learned such as wiring, gear building, mechanical assembly, soldering, design and problem solving will allow campers to go on to more sophisticated robot creation. This year we will build the 3-in-1 All Terrain Robot (ATR) , construct the Dodeca 12 in 1 SolarHydraulic Robot Kit, solder our LED Robot Blinker, and design independent projects with K’NEX Maker Space, Cublets, and imagination.On Friday, campers will display and present their robots at Family Open House.
The 3-in-1 All Terrain Robot (ATR), is a multi-function tracked mobile robotic kit. Utilize different track modules and make your robot transform into 3 amazing variations: the forklift, rover, and gripper. Using the wired controller, command the robot to move forward, backward, turn, grip and lift anything up to 100g.Campers take this robot home.
Dodeca 12 in 1 SolarHydraulicRobot’s gear box is powered by direct sunlight and a hydraulic transmission. No batteries are required. With Dodeca, campers are able to actively learn two forms of alternative energy while they create and use their infinite imagination. Dodeca has 12 exciting forms that can be separated in two animated building modes: Automotive (Buggy, Obstacle Avoiding Rover, Excavator, Forklift) and Animals (Elephant, Pterosaurs, Monkey, Ostrich, T-Rex, Crocodile, Scorpion, Dog-Walker). Campers take this robot home.
Scibot (Humanoid Robotics) – Gr. 6-9
Cost $415 5/day camp ($345 + $70 lab fee)
Campers will work with the biomorphic robot Robosapien. Robosapien™ is a sophisticated fusion of technology and personality. Loaded with attitude and intelligence, Robosapien is the first robot based on the science of applied biomorphic robotics. With a full range of dynamic motion, interactive sensors and a unique personality, Robosapien is more than a mechanical companion — he’s a multi-functional, thinking, feeling robot with attitude! Campers will learn programming and hacking basics and even turn their Robosapien into a Ninja Bot! Campers will also build from scratch our Vibrobot soldering project and construct a bot using a toothbrush. While not required, you may consider taking Camp Robot Mechanic prior to this camp. Each camper will take home his or her own exciting Robosapien Humanoid.
Kerbal Space Program – Gr. 6-9
Cost $335 5/day camp
Campers experience the science and technology concepts of space flight by learning and experimenting with electrical circuits, a flight simulation using Kerbal digital game program, architecture and building projects, and discover the physics of space travel. Campers will design, experiment and problem solve with computer software and hands-on projects, as they are immersed in the following programs:

Game Design & Programming

Chatbots have become increasingly popular in the last few years, with some predicting its success excelling that of mobile apps. A chatbot is a computer program or an artificial intelligence which conducts a conversation by mimicking written or spoken human speech. Such programs are often designed to simulate how a human would behave as a conversational partner. Today, chatbots are used most commonly in customer service. Coding Chatbots paves the way for campers to learn text-based code through the programming language of Python. Python is a general-purpose, versatile and popular programming language. Through learning Python, students become one step closer to the real world of programming where they can build websites, apps and games.

This is the camp to take for those that want their creativity to run wild using Scratch! Campers will take their game development and programming to another level. As they create games based on classics such as Pong, Frogger, Snake or Tetris, campers will use what they learn to create their own computer games! Participation in Programming with Scratch is encouraged but not required to register for this camp.
RPG Game Maker – Gr. 6-8
Cost: $335/5 day camp
Our RPG Maker camp shows campers how to create their very own epic role-playing game in the classic 2D game style like Zelda, Pokemon, Final Fanasy, and Dragon Quest! Create your fantasy adventure with playable zones and maps, develop characters with interactions and dialogue to fill your world, create allies and implement enemy encounters…all to achieve your ultimate quest! RPG Maker focuses on developing a story and creative worlds instead of mechanics and game physics, so that campers jump into creating their adventure immediately. Campers learn what RPG is, the history of RPG, all the basics, the character, and all aspects of the game. Make your role-playing games come to life! We use RPG Maker VXAce which features:

- Library of characters
- Tile-based environments
- Enhanced map editor
- Built-in character generator with custom sprites and faces
- Custom items and weapons
- Full inventory of weapons and armor
Once you have finished your world you can export your game to a portable EXE file that can be played on any Windows system. You can share it with your friends, your family, or even the Internet.
Sr. Minecraft Modding – Gr. 6-9

This camp can be taken repeatedly! Kids NEVER reach the end of modding projects. Requirement: Experienced with Minecraft and interested in coding. Programming is power! Get a head start in life by developing invaluable coding skills with Minecraft. Our camp will teach you to use JavaTM code to control your own MinecraftTM server, build mods and design your own ‘games within the game’. This camp provides a foundation in fundamental concepts like algorithms, data types, variables and loops. Coders become digital creators with real world skills that are transferable to the next phase of their programming development. They will learn to apply raw code using a trial and error approach with graphical support when needed, an approach which is central to STEM subjects. The unique code editor allows campers to learn at their own pace while participating in a group setting. Campers can share their mods with their friends in and out of camp! When this camp is taken multiple times, campers pick up where they left off and are challenged to write more complex code and build more mods.
All campers ARE REQUIRED to have a Minecraft™ account for this class. Purchase a standard account and desktop version of Minecraft™ ($26.95) at minecraft.net/store. On the first day, campers must bring their login credentials for Minecraft to ensure a streamlined learning experience.

Join us in our quest as we track down the wild natural phenomena that occurs in our world: avalanches, earthquakes, torrential rains, volcanos and tsunamis! Discover how avalanche engineering in Peru and earthquake engineering in Haiti help solve potential disasters through hands-on engineering design challenges based on real events. Create a model mountain and avalanche protection system, construct a working seismograph and earthquake proof structures, build and erupt a model volcano, design a tornado, test wind force, motion, and pressure, and lots more. In this camp you will learn about these remarkable events, how they happen, and the science and engineering that helps prevent disasters.
Bio-Medical Engineer – Gr. 6-8

Would you like to design a prosthetic limb, fight the next virus pandemic or learn how helmets keep our brains from turning to mashed Jello? Then join us for a fun, hands-on-learning experience in biology, medicine and engineering while solving a variety of medical cases. As an engineering medical team, campers prepare for the outbreak of a highly contagious disease and plan their pandemic response by creating an antiviral to stop the unknown virus. Then as biomechanical engineers, campers discover how a prosthetic or artificial limb works as they design a model leg for an elephant, beak for an eagle and a prosthetic device for a fish. And finally, they create a helmet design for a crash-test dummy and discover how it works to protect the brain when skating, biking, boarding or playing ball. This camp teaches the engineering design process and guides students through problem solving as they work through open-ended problems creatively!
*NEW ULTIMATE Escape Room I & II – Gr. 6-9

Can’t get enough of mysteries, twists and turns, problems to solve, and Who Dunnits, then join us for the ULTIMATE Escape Room camp! These unique games are a thrilling way to encourage critical thinking and collaboration! Campers must use their team spirit, creativity, and powers of deduction to crack codes, solve puzzles, collect objects, and earn their freedom bit by bit. Modeled after the increasingly popular “Escape Rooms” around the country, in which players join forces to solve a series of puzzles using clues, hints, and strategy to escape from a locked room.
Advanced CSI Investigator – Gr. 6-9
Cost $345/5 day camp
As advanced forensic scientists, our CSI campers will delve into and attempt to solve a real murder case dating back to 1842! They will gather and analyze evidence for a number of fictitious crime scenes, use luminal and UV light to detect the presence of blood when the crime scene has been “cleaned”, complete a blood splatter analysis, take crime scene photographs, and complete a drug and poison analysis. To add to the intrigue, CSI campers play out the role of investigators, witnesses and suspects as they work together to solve this crime. Using composite picture software, they recreate their own face or others and learn how Americans Most Wanted uses software to generate faces of suspects and victims. Discover how CSI’s use their entomology skills to determine time of death and how crime scene search patterns are used. This camp is guaranteed to enhance problem solving and critical thinking skills! Elementary, My Dear Watson!

Advanced Emergency Vet Tech – Gr. 5-9
Cost $345/5 day camp
Campers take veterinary medicine to the next level! In this camp, your future Veterinarians will learn how to give an injection to an orange, practice suturing on a suture glove, perform a mammal heart dissection, investigate animal dentistry, learn to recognize stress and pain in animals, and perform a rat dissection and neutering procedure. Delve further into animal emergency conditions and diseases, understand the types of broken bones and how to set them, and discover what causes a horse to ”founder” or an animal to “bloat”. Prior participation in Emergency Vet Tech I suggested, but not required.
Crazy for Chemistry – Gr. 6-9
Cost $345/5 day camp
Campers spend the week conducting more than 25 fascinating and fun chemistry experiments. Emphasis is on safety, chemistry history, proper use of chemistry lab equipment, and an introductory understanding of chemical symbols and reactions. This camp is a great way to prepare for high school and even college chemistry. Experiments include: metal flame tests, paper chromatography races, fluorescent polymer slime production, litmus indicator solutions, electricity in a test tube, a boat that runs on soap, and many more!
Special Effects & Comics Making
Manga Maker Comics – Gr. 6-9
Cost $345 5/day camp
Make your own high quality comics and manga using ComiPo manga software! Users can easily create their own unique stories and situations by choosing and posing one of the 3D characters! Throughout the week, you will also unplug and practice real world manga drawing techniques and look at real examples of Japanese manga. Create stories full of action and suspense by building a story arc with a beginning, middle, and end. Explore narrative elements, such as point of view, character expressions, and environments. Once you have learned the basics, you will have the opportunity to expand your creativity level and teamwork skills by developing a group comic series. With over 100 unique body poses and facial expressions to choose from, along with many background images, items, sound effects, word balloons… you have everything needed to make a visually impressive and professional looking comic come to life. You will learn about:
- Developing a story line
- Posing 3D character models and camera angles
- Drawing manga characters
- Creating Background Images
- Using Comic Marks and Sound Effects
- Customizing Your 3D Character
- Working as a team to develop ideas and create a group comic to address world issues such as environment, social justice, etc.
Special Effects – Gr. 6-8
Cost $345 5/day camp
Campers learn the science behind Hollywood’s special effects and movie making. Learn various special effects make-up techniques working with the same materials used by professional make-up artists. These will simulate cuts, bruises, artificial blood, and old age. Activities will demonstrate concepts related to light, sound, perception, illusion, theatrical make-up and model building. One of the great features of this camp is that all campers will create (and take home!) a movie using techniques in Claymation and Stop-Motion Animation. Lessons include plot development, storyboarding, set building, filming, and sound effects. Is there a future movie director living in your house? This is a camp your child won’t want to miss! They will take home their very own special effects kit! Please have your movie-maker bring a 4G Flash Drive to camp to save their movie.
